Club History The Mohegan Pequot Model Railroad Club was established in 1980, and incorporated in 1987. The home base for club operations is in and around the Groton/New London area of southeastern Connecticut. The club has taken its name from the Mohegan Pequot Bridge that carries Rte. 2A over the Thames River near the Mohegan Sun casino. The group used this name because the early club members had to travel over the bridge to meet each other in the early days of the club. The club is not affiliated with the local Indian Tribes. |
Train Show Archive The club held its first train show in 1981 and has been displaying its modular layouts ever since. Over the three decades since the club was formed, numerous displays and train shows have been attended. Check out all the places the club has been here. Newsletter Archive The club puts out a monthly newsletter to its members. This is an archive of those newsletters in .pdf form. Generally we keep this archive about 1-2 years out of date.
